Your Help Is Needed To Save Polk Street Parking

IMG_2073The SF Municipal Transit Authority plans to remove up to 20 blocks of street parking on Polk Street from McAllister to Union in order to install bike lanes. On March 18, 2013 nearly 400 Polk Street residents and merchants attended a neighborhood meeting and opposed this plan. SFMTA Director Ed Reiskin promised that his staff would go back to the drawing board and reduce the number of parking spaces to be removed. To date there has been NO CHANGE in the SFMTA plan.
